Scion Esports enters HCS Major Fort Worth

Spartans never die.

And neither does competitive Halo. Not while we have anything to say about it. We have decided to enter a team into the HCS for what may be one last swan song for Halo Infinite. It’s not the end of Halo, but it may be the end of this chapter. We aren’t ready to say goodbye without putting our mark on it one more time.

The event is right around the corner so we have to act quickly. Here are the details:

We are entering a team to compete in the Open Tournament at the HCS Fort Worth Major under our banner. (Usually we use the team name “Scion” when we field competitive teams.) The trip package includes the team’s entry fee, one additional event entry ticket per player (a “+1”), lodging in a group AirBnB in the DFW area (just the team and their +1s), transportation from Lake Charles to DFW, Scion Esports gear customized for this event to wear as a team uniform, and 100% of any winnings earned, distributed to the players in amounts determined by the coach.

  • The most important variable to eliminate: The Coach. We are currently taking applications for the coach of the team, and it will be his decision on who makes the team, what method is used to select the team, and what method is used to distribute any winnings earned. The coach also has to drive the van or appoint a suitable driver for the van.

  • The next most important variable to eliminate: The Players. The players will be selected by the coach. End of story. If you’re interested in playing, make sure you have raised your hand, or a thumbs-up emoji or whatever, in the #halo-infinite channel in our Discord.

  • The Plan. Once a coach is selected, they will be in charge of planning the trip. If you’re on the team, they’ll make sure you know the plan.

If you’re interested in being the coach, please contact us at esports@lakecharlestoyota.com, or via DM on Twitter, Facebook, or Discord.
